I have a Casio Illuminator watch and today I replaced the battery, now the alarm and hourly chime do not work. Everything else works fine, what is the problem here! Any ideas, thanks!

If it doesn’t work, see if the jeweler can take out the watch guts, still put a piece of glass on it, but before the glass goes on there, put a tiny picture of your grandmother or something else in it and wear it as a locket on your wrist.

Can you substitute a watch or cell battery for 1 AA battery?
I want to build a wireless microphone from a kit that is meant to run on 1 AA battery. In order to minimize the weight of the device, I’d like to run it on a smaller battery like a watch/cell battery. Is there anyway to convert a typical AA connection into a connection that will accept the power of a smaller battery like this? Thanks for your help.
Battery “power” is more than just volts. If the design calls for the power of w normal AA battery, then 1.5 volt Watch Batteries will probably not let it work, or at least not for very long. You would need to redesign the microphone to operate off lower power batteries.
